Diary of a shoot:

There comes a time when you want to shoot a video and don’t want to deal with finding actors and locations and all the trials of tribulations of doing it right.

So I threw my assistant and a visiting kid of another assistant into my Hybrid and drove them against their will to the beach with the desire to shoot a video with my new camera.

Nothing like a new camera to get your creative desires up and running.

What was I going to shoot? I had no idea.  One autistic assistant and a hyper active kid, what kind of short would this be? And that’s most of the fun, run and gun and create it in post.

I was hoping the beach location would be empty. These days you can’t shoot anywhere without a permit, so you Guerilla style it as if the KGB were out on patrol.

After bending the shots out in Final Cut, this is what I got.
